Getaway
About 1 - 2 weeks before your Simply Cropping Getaway, you will
receive an e-mail outlining all the important essentials relevant to your Getaway....such as hotel directions, page contests,
check-in times etc.
Here is a list of some additional information that
may be helpful in preparing for your fun and relaxing weekend with Simply Cropping:
How
many people attend Simply Cropping Getaways?
We typically have between 100-150 people
attend our Getaways. We like to keep our events on a smaller scale so we can provide excellent customer service.
We like to know our customers and look forward to chatting with them during their weekend with us.
What are the hours of your typical getaway?
Most of our Getaways
begin at 10am on Friday and end at 4pm on Sunday--that is 54 hours of NON-STOP Cropping!! (except our *SPECIAL*
packages for our ACE Conference Center Getaways)
Will we have assigned
seats?
When you arrive, you will get a reserved table assignment with everyone usually
receiving an end-seat. If you have roommates, you will be seated with them. If you don't have roommates,
that's ok! We have wonderful customers and we promise to seat you with a seasoned SC veteran.
Will there be snacks/beverages?
We provide a small selection of snacks
throughout the weekend. We also provide Coca Cola brand sodas. If there is a particular brand that you like or a favorite
snack you like to munch on, we suggest you bring it along. Most hotels also offer either restaurants or vending machines that
carry additional beverages and snacks.
Will there be tools?
We have a wide variety of tools for your use. Please check our list of tools at our Tools/Idea Center link on
our website. We just ask that you use our tools with care. If there is something that you don’t see or might need, post
a note on our message board…someone might have just what you need! We also have a huge selection of magazines and idea
books that you can sign-out at our computer journaling table.
Is the crop room open
all night?
Yes! You are able to scrap whenever you want to, so you can come and
go as you please knowing that your scrapping items are already out on the table to finish whatever project you are working
on.
Do we need to bring a light?
We do
our best to provide the best lit hotels for all our Getaways. If you are still interested in bringing a light, please let
us know ahead of time so we can make accomodations for you with an outlet. It is best to bring an extra extension cord and
duct tape, as some hotels charge for this use.
Can I bring my own music or radio?
Outside music is NOT permitted unless you wear headphones. We provide a wide selection of music for our
attendees to enjoy over the speaker system provided by the hotel.
How should I dress
for the weekend?
Most hotels keep the temperature of the crop room cool.
Dress in layers for your own comfort. If you forgot your jacket, Simply Cropping has a nice selection of sweatshirts
and jackets for purchase.
Is there a pool/hot tub?
Please
check the hotel website for a listing of their amenities. If the hotel has one, bring your swimsuit!
Can I come just to shop?
Our vendors are there to provide
a service to our Getaway attendees only. If you are interested in shopping with them, please contact them directly and they
will be more than happy to assist you.
What are the directions to the hotel?
Our website provides a link to the hotel which usually gives directions from every which
way. Please visit that link to get to the hotel directly from your house.
When is
the next Simply Cropping Getaway?
We are so glad that you asked! Just visit our
2010 Getaways link on our website for a listing of those dates. We hold our Getaways every season, which usually falls between
every 3-4 months.
